Noho and Community surf experiences
Multiple times a year we share our love for surfing with our coast communities. We connect through surfing, sharing food and stories about surfing, history and cultural aspects. Between November and April we meet in Tokomaru Bay, Waipiro Bay, Wharekahika or invite our whanau down to Gisborne.
Adaptive Surfing
Every February run our adaptive surfing day in collaboration with Parafed Gisborne. A fun day in the surf for the whole family, thanks to our volunteers and coaches.
Surf and Yoga
An initiative by Gisborne Boardriders together with the yoga teacher community to celebrate our love for yoga and the ocean.
When: Every Tuesday from 6-7am, June to August
Where: Wainui Beach School Hall
Who: everyone welcome
Admission: free for members
Surf Swaps
A great opportunity to trade, swap or display anything around surfing and catching up with some mates.
Workshops
Nutrition, Environment, Skateboard, Mental Skills, Coaching, Judging and many more workshops upskill our volunteers and bring the community together.
Movie nights and Parties
Every once in a while we come together and celebrate surfing and life but also create opportunities to get together and enjoy meeting new people.
