Based on the eastern tip of New Zealand’s North Island Gisborne Boardriders Club was established in 1964.
The region’s consistent waves and great weather provide our surfers with optimal surfing conditions, whether they are just surfing for the fun of it or competing at a local, national or international level.
For us it is all about sharing the stoke. Our goal is to create more opportunities for kids and communities who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity. With our surf related social events we try to bring the Gisborne surfing community together and provide platforms for sharing the love for our sport.
Together with our local partners and the help of the Gisborne community we aim to establish a generationally sustainable platform for development and growth of the sport of Surfing.
